6:25 am. I realised last night that holding a grudge is like locking yourself in a cell and swallowing the key. I heard a voice say "Forgive! Charlotte, you need to forgive!"

No matter what: forgive. Always: forgive. In-spite of, even if, and anyway: forgive.

Forgiveness is a personal choice that has a major effect on our personal well-being. The effect that forgiveness for others had on my outlook on life was especially surprising and a delight to discover. It was one of those cases of "I didn't know I was in darkness until I saw the light."

Forgiving someone is seeing the light - an eye-opening, heart-softening light that puts wind in our sails and sets us on course, so that we may be the vessel of this light ourselves. May I always forgive - in-spite of, even if, and anyway.
